Why have we chosen to partner with Sands?
Being a paper-based product business we wanted to find a way to offset our environmental impact as well as raising awareness on such an important topic.
The funds we raise through the sales of our Baby Love Collection will help nurture and maintain the Sands Garden at the National Memorial Aboretum.
Partnering with Sands seemed a no-brainer after Monique suffered a stillbirth in 2013 with her second child …

‘I’m sorry. I think your baby has passed away.’
Words no parent wants to here, unfortunately this was a heart-breaking reality for Monique. At 30 weeks pregnant Monique had no choice but to give birth to her baby, yet she wouldn’t be going home to meet her big sister. ‘Each time I winced during a contraction, my heart broke – I knew when she was here in the world there would be no sound of a newborn crying – only silence.’
6 months later Monique had a miscarriage. In the UK, it is estimated that 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss during pregnancy or birth. Too many women experience baby loss which is why we want to help raise awareness around incredible charities such as Sands.

Sands exists to reduce the number of babies dying and to ensure that anyone affected by the death of a baby receives the best possible care and support for as long as they need it.
